We would like to announce that Dido, the interdisciplinary solo performance of Company RAu, of which Korhan Başaran is the Artistic Director, planned to take place at Kalyon Kültür on October 3 and 7 as part of 212 Photography Istanbul, is out of the festival program due to a technical problem.

Kalyon Kultur presents Company Rau’s new multidisciplinary solo production: A visual and
poetic body performance with excerpts from Christopher Marlowe’s ‘Dido, Queen of
Carthage’ and a sound installation based on Purcell’s ‘When I am laid in earth’ aria.
Korhan Basaran holds a BA from Bilkent University’s Theatre Department and an MBA in Art
Management from Yeditepe University, he is the Artistic Director of his company RAu. After a
decade-long career in Turkey, he moved to NYC, where he was awarded a scholarship by
the Cunningham Studio. He had the pleasure of dancing with the Repertory Group of the
Cunningham Company's director, Robert Swinston. He has studied and danced with various
choreographers over the years, in Istanbul and New York. His works have been
commissioned by BAM’s Dance Motion USA, Nimbus Dance Works, Mari Meade DC, Project
44, Boston Conservatory at Berklee in the US and MDT, Akbank Sanat, Tatbikat Sahnesi in

Follow pop-up performances to enjoy the festival route with music! As a new addition to this, 212 Photography Istanbul is welcoming and hosting talents from
Istanbul’s music scene. The performances will be held as pop-up events at the exhibition
